Secret Me
My secret self the other me. The person only I, ever get to see. He won't come out when you're around and so shall be always a mystery. My secret self is the one who made these scars. For when he leaves he leaves his mark. He takes control of me in full and doesn't care I have to bear the burden that he leaves behind. In his wake the life I make I must rebuild it every time. My secret self is like that moment just ahead of that wreck that leaves all dead. With no regard for those he's scarred he simply walks on by. And when he leaves, he leaves his mess for me. What a thoughtful guy. My secret self he can not create, he can only take and he can destroy everything I make. With his simple showing of how he seeks cheap thrills and always kills, by pouring gas on everything I love. My secret self he will destroy with the greatest joy cause he will always be consequence free. For when all that's left when he leaves. All that's left to blame is me. My secret self will seldom help, but always help himself to what's mine. Feeding off me like a leech. How do you hide from what's inside your mind? So my secret self and I will always fight and he'll never die. Is there nothing he won't try that won't scar and maim my flesh? And for what he's done, someday we'll fry my secret self and I But even though I hate myself I still like me, more than anybody else.
