Dreaming of a Sunset Like This
We walk down to the wooden front porch looking over the pacific lake. We sit down on the swing her hand in mine. The sky is as beautiful as she with its soothing colors of purple, pink, and orange. We sit there snuggled with the relaxing sound of the water. First gazing at the astonishing sunset, then at the breathtaking girl. I kiss her on the lips as we listen to the waves brush along the shore. Our eyes then focus on one another. Her eyes reflected the sunset as she laid her head on my shoulder. The warm air brushes past my face. She lets out a sigh and falls sound asleep. I watch her as she sleeps quietly and still. She carries a scent of a rose and is incredibly beautiful as one. I slowly lay my head on top of hers, hoping not to wake the sleeping angel, look at the lake’s refection of the gorgeous sky, then sleep gently to the sound of the water and the smell of roses with the one I love.
