Along Horizon
The silence of the ocean is the melody of madness, She thought to herself… Ever since the broken dawn, When she woke up to the muffled songs Of her imaginary bird, She viewed the towers of her fate As the beanstalk, That led to Her heaven: Through the window, with the shattered panes, Saw the sky amidst the smoke, The newspaper boy with the millionaire-dreams, An old lady with the princess themes, Stories she framed for children afar, Dwelling across the seasons of war.. She smelled the blood of her heart As roses for the Queen, Closed her eyes and dreamt of wings, For her imaginary bird.. Slumber, Oh! Slumber..do so beguile? ‘cause they were charms of the happy mind! Foolish fantasies that promised plight To Her heaven, She woke up to the shambles from space, Led by the lightning of her blood, That were once for the Queen.. Black ashes of Her Roses, Afloat on the silent ocean, And Dust that profoundly blurred the vista Of Her dead soul, Pecked on by Her imaginary bird… She thought to herself. “It’s My heaven”…
