The Good Guy
My eyes glisten as soon as I appear. I feel the eye’s of my enemies as if they are almost near. There eye’s stare with hate and fire. They want me to stare back but I lack the desire. I stand helplessly as they start to move in. My heart is racing but I can’t give in. I hold my ground and don’t blink an eye. All the while saying the good guy can’t die. There here now only a few steps away. Best thing to do now is to look away. I’m tapped on the shoulder. Hey, I know you! You’re the guy who lives on 6th street, How do you do? I finally look up, oh what a mistake. This guy is gonna kill me! Oh, this can’t be my fate. I scream and scream more, oh god please wake me up! If this isn’t a dream then I really am stuck. I take a step back and swallow my pride. I guess it’s time for the good guy to die.
