Where Is the Heart
So many stolen moments missing, They have fallen through the cracks of time. Tell me where did the spark go? It’s estranged now from your eyes. This frosty morning, It holds me all alone. I’m not yet beaten down, Yet I’m out here on the roam. Where is the heart? The heart I knew before. I’m not sure how I missed it. It must have walked on through the door. Where is the heart? That I would see shine so bright. Did it grow wings? Did it take flight? Where is the heart? That I once knew Where is the heart? That once gave life to two. I remember us walking, Through the autumn leafs Now I’m caught here, With all these jagged memories. I see no candle, Shining through the darkness of the night. I guess the flipside to this melody, Is that it is just another lesson learned in life? Where is the heart? The heart I knew before. I’m not sure how I missed it. It must have walked on through the door. Where is the heart? That I would see shine so bright. Did it grow wings? Did it take flight? Where is the heart? That I once knew Where is the heart? That once gave life to two.
