In a disaster of this magnitude human suffering paid the cost. The media of this country exposed the truth. Our own government left its people hungry, stranded, and dying on roofs. They showed the world racism still exists. But for five days man, woman, and child subsist. So much strife and mayhem devastated two states. America has to learn quickly from her mistakes. After the storm families and lives are forever shattered. In horror we watched rapes, death, starvation, and a race being battered. There were looters, armed bandits, and floating corpses.
