The Trees-Book 1
~The Trees~ When water stopped running In the tiny empty river The trees along its borders All began to quiver For without the flowing water These trees could not grow Where are the crystal waters That once used to flow Was the futures intent For them to have died Were there any among us Who at least stood and cried Did their death have a purpose That is part of a plan A message from nature Directed towards man But when rain started falling Where the old trees once grew This began a cycle That started life all new For out of the virgin earth Young trees are now sprouting Screaming life never ends That's what I hear them shouting *********************************** This was always one of my favorites from the first book. I like how the reflections of nature combine with such a powerful message. And then the way it develops into its ultimate ending was something that had really impressed me at the time of writing it. I thought how it structures the promise of never ending life was amazing. Picture a mountainside that has burned to a blackened and barren landscape. If you were to view that same area 10-12 years later, You’d understand the earth’s rejuvenation ability. Now think of your life in the same exact way. :-) (Book 1 ©1995 "The Journey Lost and Confused") God Bless and Best Wishes to YOU...Peace
