Kathryn's Love Part Ii
Part Two The Battle of Epona Plains Carnage and Glory The Vikings Wreaked upon The unsuspecting few As they came shore.. Our King called upon All those could Hear the Horn of Warning near. So at it was They say the two met On the plains of Epona. Yadnar The Viking, A giant of a man. So fierce his battle cry. But our Welshland Prince Stood his ground No fear he showed That day. The din of battle ceased, As the two faced each other. Blood and sweat, Splattered their faces and clothing. From foes and friends A like. Yadnar came rushing, With screams of Murder, His Ax held high. Prepare to die! He cried. But the young prince Did not tremble, Not a weakness he did show. As he nocked his last arrow And let it Fly. The arrow flew and found it's mark In the throat of the Viking Chieftain. Yadnar gasped and fell to the ground At the feet of the Welshland Prince. In horror the Viking raiders watched, As the Prince severed The Yadnar's head from His body. It's over, It's done! Your leader has gone To his God. His body I give you But his head is mine As punishment For your deeds, Here today! So Take it back To his father and kin And never return To Welshland again Or your fate will Be the same As his.. So the Battle of Epona was Over and the Vikings Sailed away, Black sails mourning A headless body was stowed. Songs were made And sung to celebrate the day. Their young Prince Had killed the Viking Chieftain raider... Yadnar, Son of the Viking King Gundar Nills was dead.. And his head Was ours.
