The Queen of Hearts
On the corner of the street An old woman with a booth She laid three cards And made her move She showed the three Diamonds, hearts, and spades "Follow the heart" she said "And win the game" Three cards laid across the table Three loves he couldn't choose Three lives, three women, three loves of his life He had two of three to lose. One card was beauty Strength and pride As another held hope And faith inside A third was wisdom And true in spirit They held his heart In a three way split Watching the cards Closely he glared Following the heart Never breaking his stare They moved and twisted Side by side Dancing and prancing Soon to decide Suspense and focus Were high on rise Racking his mind Heart hurting inside His choice was given His time now to choose the old woman stopped No card made a move The time had come No time to wait He closed his eyes And chose his fate "Shes the one" He said "Ive known it from the start" Turning his card He had chosen the heart
