A Sparkling Abyss
A golden sunset shoots rays over the water and it reflects causing a sparkling abyss. White is the color of my dress as a lay in your arms, my hair mess, and we kiss. Just a kiss. Its the simple things that make a lasting impression on my heart, my lips. Can we lie here forever? Can we just speak of my hopes and your dreams? Its a wish that I carry still, it seems. I always feel like I must be right and hold strong ,but in your arms I like feeling weak and laughing when I'm wrong. Let me look at your face as we lay in this sweet embrace. May this memory never be erased. As we lay under that oak those captivating words he spoke. His favorite poem, favorite quote. When you smile those little wrinkles come up to your eyes. They've grown deeper to no surprise. We're back as we were so many years before no longer wondering what life has in store. Looking back on where we've been and wishing we could do it all over again. For you all these years my heart has yearned. It started here and so we've returned.
