I Wonder If Lazarus Ever Felt This Way
The God is a peculiar being. They seem to toy with me. They always capitalize on dragging me down, then jerking me back up. So goes the love cycle, like a forsaken turbine. Quickly Quickly Quickly we spin. Round, round, round we go. In, out, In, out. Admiration, lust, longing, affection, love, boredom, resentment, anger, depression, optimism, start anew. O' dear sight, let me see clearly. Let me see transparent through walls through clothes through hearts through minds and my own mind through poets through jokers and hookers and brokers. O' sweet serenity, bring me calm. Steer my jealous gaze from the curtains. What gave them the right to sit on the window, so smooth, so superior, no pressure, no conflict. All they do is chill up there, smug, and watch the world evaporate, rain back down, and evolve and regress. I wonder if Lazarus ever felt this way.
