The Frog and the Cow
Once upon a time, t'was not long from now There once did live a frog and a cow Neither were special or needed for much Neither were pretty or soft to touch The frog sang songs all day and night The cow was patient and not very bright Each little in common with the other at all One so green and the other so tall Neither agreed on life or its aim Yet they completed each other all the same How odd to think that a cow and a frog Were happy together through fields and fog Others would say it was wrong and strange But they cared not a bit and never did change Some would ask was it true love or fate But they never replied and still havent to date They didn't care about juldgements been made As they were happy and so together they stay But a day will come not far from now Where a bitter end must come to the cow See it did not matter how stong they were No difference to them in slimey skin or fur But farmers cared and drivers did too So a fearful finish would always be due Farmers needed their milk, meat and fat While a car hit the frog with an almighty splat
