With my ears I have heard melodic songbirds singing for all to hear – just for me. Too often these ears have heard the desperate sobs, as she painfully ponders her fate in misery. With my nose I have inhaled the scent of the roses, on the occasions I took the time to stop and smell. Gone are the days of apathy and stench, when I partook in the madness and self-imposed Hell. With my heart I have found strength I never knew before. Strange, but I believe this is the real me. Breathing free, seeing clear, hearing good, feeling strong, I will not get carried away, but I’m starting to feel happy.
