Heroes
The labor day weekend was over Another school year had begun But what happened next We will never forget Nine Eleven Two Thousand and One They started their day like always Hugged their families and told them goodbye But they didn't know How far those words would go And how that night, their families would cry New Yorks's finest ran towards the Twin Towers While most people were running away Helping strangers and friends Knowing their life might end But that's just the price real heroes pay While those cowards were boarding the airplanes Thank God heroes were boarding them too But cowards don't know How far heroes will go To save people just like me and you So remember when telling this story To your own children's daughters and sons Tell the price heroes paid On that late Summer day Nine Eleven Two Thousand and One
