Dark Mountain
I think I’m going blind again Blurry mist reaping everything I think I’ve lost the only way The sign I passed has led me to betray My existence waits for nothing But rusty steel is always forcing something Like the sword in the chest Getting deeper as I regress I think I lost my eyes again Forcing darkness in the heavy rain I think I died but I can’t be sure Did I go blind or did I find the cure? My patience fades as I realise The dying heavens and the bleeding skies Numbing pain and diseased lies They’ll always try to steal my eyes I think I saw some truth once again But darkness makes me think that I pretend I think I see someone in the mist The mirrors waiting want me to resist My death is painted on every wall I see the rocks at the end of this fall When I land I know that I’ll just crawl Close my eyes and then repeat it all
