The city was bustling more than usual, And they had no place to stay. They managed to gather some wood, tarp, and crating, In a filthy alley, behind the local hotel. "No rooms were available for them," Was the story they had to tell. Then, I heard , that later that night, Their baby boy was born. Only a few, undesirable street people, Were there with them to see the light of morn. Yet they were rejoicing over that one life, That entered the world that day. A life about Whom countless multitudes, Would have countless things to say. Some would follow after Him, And hang on to every word He said; While other men were jealous, And plotted to see Him dead.
