My Favorite Things. ( Contest.)
Cookies and cocoa when you least expect them, Your lover smiling, come hither, well.. ahem! Finding that last coin to complete the roll, these are some things that bring joy to my soul. A warm glass of brandy, a fireplace burning, A puppy you feared lost, a neighbor returning. Your girl holding hands for a leisurely stroll, these are some things that bring joy to my soul. A day at the circus, a night on the boardwalk, A brother, a sister, to laugh with in small talk. A young kitten purring, wraps you like a stole, These are some things that bring joy to my soul. When I'm weary, eyes so bleary, I call each one to mind. And then I will go with the pleasure I know that in each of these things, I'll find! Sung to the tune: "My Favorite Things."
