Cemetery That You Keep
Well I’m not sure how you can sleep, Judging others from the cemetery that you keep. Each person like a trophy you have brought down, You’re so proud laying their bones in the ground. When you look my way you best do a double take, I’m not the one you think you can so easily break. In life I’ve never known what people like you think, Be careful you don’t fall victim to the cemetery that you keep. So keep swinging for the fences, My back won’t hit the ground. Left to your own devices will be your ruin, Can’t you see my integrity can still be found? You thought you were indestructible, Preying on the ones you thought were weak. Didn’t you know you were chiseling your name on your own grave? In the cemetery that you keep. It isn’t fun being buried like the others, All the ones that you have broken down. They won’t be there long; soon they will rise above you, Then from you only a muffled scream will be the sound. You loved this cruel game you were playing, Cruelty to others was the pleasure I know you now seek. Now you’re exposed for who you are and not who you were portraying, You slipped backwards and fell victim to the cemetery that you no longer keep.
