Forgiven
I stand and watch as they lead the man that held our future in his hand. His ponzi scheme uncovered then Our dreams to retire fell with his sin Slay him… came the cry through-out the land. A mother stood by her son’s grave A innocent victim they could not save Wasted by alcohol, the man had sunk Why was he driving stinking drunk Kill him… was the cry in all enraged Babies lives had been the quest Of being dammed instead of blessed The one that felt the knife in hand To be removed like grains of sand Knife him…let him die like all the rest Lives all ruined, it’s my cry Should they not too have to die? To pay the price that other’s paid By their own hand they’ve been waylaid Revenge them…For they have lived a lie Oh wait I hear a still small sound That speaks a word to all around “Have I not forgiven you, Do I not say to do it too?” “yes Lord”,I walk away as my stone... drop’s to the ground.
