Love Lost
Our love was strong But not for long Each and every day I think of you and say What if we were meant to be What if we just couldn’t see what was right in front of you and me All things happen for a reason, at least that’s what I’m told So why can’t I move on this is getting really old I hope that you will eventually see Everything you meant to me You were my world I hope you know You were the reason that the stars would glow I stand alone trembling in fear Oh how I wish you were still here You were the reason I had for living Now you’re taking instead of giving I hope you know I miss you dearly This is said very clearly I know someday, you’ll want me back But let me tell you, I don’t work like that Just so know, you’ll have to go and find somebody new You and me, we are through and there is nothing else that you can do So leave me now, please just go No one will have to know What we had, has come and gone I guess it’s time to just move on
