Good
I have often seen in my walk Amongst men Whether it be that soul who has happened Across my path Or be it the ruling voice of nations And states Who alike stand to declare the cause of peace And prosperity Who speak of the pursuit of good And right And who would seem to establish the ways Of God Yet with the selfsame lips speak against Him In open places And with the selfsame hands fight against His ways And thus, I have been left to look out And wonder And to ask the questions of they whom I speak Can you build a kingdom superior to the Kingdom Of Heaven Can you provide prosperity in spite of He who holds all things In His hands Can you do good and establish right without of the Author of The same Can you establish peace that is void of He who is The Prince Of Peace No… No you cannot And all history bares this witness For The very effort of such shall in the end bare you off As thieves Having tried all the day long to take that which Is good Unto yourselves, and from He to which it rightfully Belongs No… You are not the first to utter the words, “Give me Thine honor” But instead, by so doing these things you shall become The children Of he who did indeed first utter this Ill fated phrase
