The Test Subject(S)
Now hear me human male: a mouse am I in form; though this is true, no right had you to raid my rodent dorm, Nor take me from that home-- where all my siblings slept. Alas, my kin now weep within and wonder why I left! Such fear you've wrought in me; my feet, no more at ease, refuse to move and thus you prove your theories as you please. How helpless I must seem-- a puppet poised for stage. I squirm and cringe to your syringe within a silver cage. You thrive much like a god-- whose reign is white, but cruel; though, rest assured, I don't concur at all with how you rule. Where be my freedom now? Perhaps within some vial-- to lightly churn and likely burn away before your smile. I loathe your lucid glare; its luster pains my breast. I cruelly hope, despite the scope, that you are too a test! 'Tis quite a proper wish, and one I won't regret. Some day, you'll rue the things you do and beg for mercy yet! On this my soul is set.
