If You and I
If you and I came across an ocean, And you still were too hurt to swim, That's when I'd drink up all the salty water, Just so you could live. If you and I ran into a wolf, With fangs ominously fierce, I'd throw myself in front of you, My skin will be what the wolf would pierce. If you and I got ambushed by a troll, From under the bridge we sat, We'd sing strong those childish songs, And how that troll would sing along. If you and I got caught in a storm, And the all of the electricity went out, I'd stick by your side in candlelight, And together we'd play the game of LIFE. If you and I were both put in jail, And punished cruelly and unusually, I'd tell them it was all my idea, Just so you'd have it easier than me. If you and I found a way to wreck your car, Let's say we only had seconds left, I'd look into those eyes and not help but smile, For this is the best way I could possibly go out.
