Solitude
Can one be foolish for so long To have let themselves honestly believe This is satisfying solitude that Keeps one blinded by hidden feelings. The leap we take for chance of life Fulfilling our private desired futures Sometimes unexpected twists of faith Are clouding our most yearnful pleasures. How does one know the difference? If we do nothing then at least we know Today consists of our memories of the past Tomorrow are our dreams of unknowing hope. Is it possible to be really content Living in such silent days of carpe diem? Do you wonder what am I supposed to feel? Still time goes on...tick tock...tick tock. Can the rambling words of one soul Be so compelling to make that difference? Does anyone understand or even care about The struggles that exhausts your brain? Your thoughts are a chance of a choice That you can either hinder or snuff No one can prowl their way in unless Your mind allows the intrusion of invaders. Now we ask ourselves if we are prepared We ponder if all else complies dutifully Be ready to leap into the motions of life Hesitant...my foolish future.
