The Shadow of Life.
MY eyelids are stitched shut so lightly, Lids struggling to stay open in the winds, Truth outlined in lies shines so brightly. So i sit here day dreaming, wondering if it ever ends. I wait for existence in the shadow of life, Nails dragging on the alley way walls slowly moving, The aftermath of hardened hearts, thunderous in the night. The membranes of practiced evil, sickly choosing. A way of living not accepted by the Masses, With a long never ending list of excuses, In a city where people and structures were reduced to ashes. A population of evil that always fails but never reduces. I sit with my fingers torn and eyes stitched laughing, And i kicked down the door of death just to see, Behind the fabric of life i saw a sadistic thrashing. And the devils face was so happy, but he looked just like me.
