Come Not Oh Lovely Morning
I wait for the night to come, As in my dreams I want to see you. I want to be close to you tonight, And no one between the two. When only whispers of the silence speak, When only the sound of the wind in my ears creak, I want you to be with me with every heart beat, And fill my world with happiness. I dream of you being with me, I dream of you holding my hands, I dream of you walking miles away with me, Leaving behind our footprints on sand. Come not oh lovely morning, That I dream of my love. My eyes, I don’t want to open, For my dear love will disappear. Let the darkness be, Let me not open my eyes, Let me be with him throughout, For the next night is too far. Come not oh lovely morning, For I sleep in his arm, Feeling the warmth of his manly body, And his breath so slow and calm.
