Her Daddy Is Gone
Coming home from work, And receiving a call from mom, I have some bad news she said, I'm sorry, but Darcy's gone. Tears fill my eyes, and I don't know what to say, I have to break the news to our daughter, That her daddy was taken away. he took his own life, for what reason we do not know, left us with wonder, and sorrow in our soul, I know he's looking back, seeing the pain that he caused, we know he's deeply sorry, But he felt he was lost. If only he turned to the ones that loved him best, We wouldn't be here today, laying him down to rest. It's hard to know what to say, to our daughter he never met, All I can do is tell her he loved her, And tell her stories about him that she shall never forget. As I watch her meet her daddy for the very first time today, Its the saddest thing i ever witnessed, My heart was blown away. I don't have the power, to take away her pain, I only have the strength, to help her up again. To My Daughter Destiny I love you and your daddy lives on every day through you. LOVE MOM
