A Storm In Heaven, Sections 7-12
But on this night he saw so clearly before His eyes would not leave the sight at the door Graceful and gorgeous the girl who appeared As a storm brewed outside and the heavens had teared And so Lyla Dawson made acquaintance of the boy So stunned by her beauty he could not employ The use of his speech, but had not the words for the scene He was enrapt so wholly, in the eyes of this queen Deep blue seas, the pair gleamed like stars Spangled in the sunshine as the shield of old Mars And forever he wanted to bask in those oceans to gaze on the crystalline pools of emotions But more was there to see on that unforgettable face Like the glowing smile that in his heart took its place Sweet creamy light from between velvet lips Of ruby shaded pouting with her hands on her hips And yes her body was immaculate to behold Even I admit I know what he saw was gold From her proud lovely bosom to her nail polished toes She carried the look it would seem of a rose Freshly picked thorns intact from Babylon’s garden Vivacious colors that would beg a man’s pardon And to this siren’s call the painter did flock When her voice carried gently from her faraway rock Oh Ryan Adams was moonstruck from the first No other lovely maiden could ever quench his thirst Miss Lyla so swiftly had stolen his heart clear away That she would one day be his he would often pray Her kindness compounding his affection for her grace And her character made a mark no other could erase His attachment was iron, and his determination steel Nothing could deter him that his love wasn’t real Yet obstacles stood as great mountains between them Tragic pitfalls aplenty faced before his shining gem Her beauty had not gone unnoticed by others Other young Casanovas, our dove hunting brothers Many took their aims at the radiant target girl And Ryan could not help but watch their plots unfurl Young womanizing thugs beckoning into the dark And several times she dove down with a shark Jealous and worried rapt Ryan swallowed rage No good to chastise a woman of her age Stubborn and tameless as their kind tend to be My brother wished to watch her in her drunken majesty And thwart the wicked suitors who dared approach her side Where he would stand guardian bursting with great pride And so he could win her, if time but it took Someday she would see him and finally take a look
