So Far From Home
The ink never felt so fresh before Lines of dead shade took form to letters It was the belly of my pen that threw up in emotion It was the tears that fell gently rolling off my face In split seconds it felt as if I were in some sort of different place The wheel ever so soft, and I made my way into the falling sun It grew dark as the sun sunk into its bed " lights out" A how painful it was to see the sun set away from home The miles got longer and longer as I got lost in the living traffic A highway of heart I called it For every face had a different story to tell And I a master of literature and flattering detail, I read Some sad, other glad Nonetheless a different background moplded each different face I cried to sore eyes, a think blood shot red they were As if my whole life had flashed before my nose and I stood still With a hunger that was out to kill Agony and stress took over my pen And I wrote of pain For the ink itself bleed and sob along my shadow A gray cloud became my bestfriend only to make matters worse when it seemed rock bottom It was a flood of rain and tears Dreams began to drown and quite honestly so did my eyes O' how I hurt to be so far away from home
