You Pretend
For every breath I take, you kill me more. Our fire so fake, what do I wait for? I've had it up to here, I don't want you. Wipe away the fallen tear, for our time's through. You walked away, you left me. I got lost in the fray, yet now I see. I'm no longer the same, not the man I was before. I've took your shame, but now you're a bore. I could be weak, just like you. Now I can speak, what words are true. I could have done anything, for your fragile heart. Now it's hate I bring, for you tore me apart. All these feelings I get, when I see your face. Now I have the wit, to let memories erase. Why do I, take this abuse? For you I die, bending for your misuse. I hate, you pretend. Asphyxiate, for this is the end. When I come home, just leave me alone. My heart's left to room, heartache has been shown. I know you don't care, as you hear my laughter. I've took all I could bear, you're not worth chasing after. I'll lead you on, to believe love's true. I'll be gone, when sorrow's caught you. Trust me, until I let you down. You finally see, as I let you drown. Never before, have I done such. Yet I feel sore, at the hint of your touch. It's now or never, so just leave. You said we'll love forever, yet I don't believe. As I laugh at your cries, I leave you behind. As sorrow dies, it's now you it'll find. Are you learning, or is it for love you're yearning?
