The Two Witnesses
God spoke to men in visions and dreams. Their words are like unpolluted streams, offering dying souls life-giving drink, and giving hope to those on the brink. These witnesses, both the old and the new, were written down by a selected few, who were infused with the divine mind, as they shared thoughts of a unique kind. They have been spurned by the learned and unlearned, and have been undermined, banned, chained, and burned, but their truthful testimony still stands, and their reputation has the world spanned. The witnesses make believers wise, but their detractors choose to believe lies. Accepting them will make a nation rise, but one that spurns them morally dies. Love them or hate them, their truth will stout stand, though foes of all stripes against them band. France tried to kill them and paid a great price, nations who silenced them are reaping vice. The one who chained them will once again stand. He would wield power over every land, and bid that to him every knee should bend, but the witnesses tell of his swift end. Heed the two witnesses and you would live, for wise counsel, they indeed do give. The way of life and the way of death are proclaimed by them with every breath.
