I never understood love
I never understood love... Always was I the one who adorned his life with dreams. Music was my compass through the fog towards all that I was to become. Often, love seemed a superfluous entity, I found myself wrapped in a cocoon of crystal, A prisoner of solitude, No one seemed to unravel the enigma of my soul. But here you are now, emerging as if from the void, And a bow's arching binds us, Covenant is the word -- once inconsequential Until you awaken and resonate with its hidden influence. From afar, perhaps the world will not understand our symphony, And perhaps it will never understand. For even our own minds do not comprehend how all this came to be, It was something beyond rational thought, It was a feeling. It was not a visual attraction, but a pure curiosity of our souls. People may not understand; Perhaps they will never see or feel that sentiment when looking deeply into your eyes. This mist, for others, would have seemed an endless abyss. Your black pearls. In your eyes, I recognize myself. In your eyes, I see us. In your eyes, I see an infinity of tomorrows. I never understood love. Not until you arrived in my galaxy.
