Pretty Mystery Stranger On My Train
Lost in my own little world as usual Fleeting idle thoughts come and go I gazing out of the window I notice the blue and fluffy candy cotton sky And the sun shines in my eyes Landscapes live for a moment As they rush by and die I can feel the train rock me like a baby in a crib The train rattles and shakes like a strange lullaby You never know what life will bring Foolish to set your expectations a little too high But today I was a surprise The first thing I noticed was a wafting sweet perfume I turned around to see a pretty girl sit down And played and pulled her hair Apart from being pretty, she had something I couldn't explain and all I could think about was her Not the train she stared out of the window just like me Gazing into nowhere Holding a coffee or a tea She got off at a station miles before me I watched her walk away with a little dismay The next day she boarded the train a Dressed in different clothes again But the same sweet perfume Her back facing away from me But I could see her reflection in the window pain The same happened again and again A pretty stranger riding on a train I wished so much I could talk to her for a while She didn't even know I existed and I didn't see her smile The train was always full and I didn't see her for a while As weeks and months flew by My heart sank as I thought I'd never see her anymore I almost forgot her as life covers collected memories With even more Just when I thought she'd gone The train stopped at her station And a surprise met my eyes The train was full again apart from a seat next to mine She politely asked if she could sit there with me With a warm smile, she took her pew I was so nervous I didn't know what do We started talking and suddenly the world disappeared Just two strangers sitting near The next day she came and sat right next to me We'd a connection so rapidly As we talked and laughed and talked about the things we love to do Ours were very similar and had the same points of view Eventually, I asked her out and she said yes I wanted to make a good impression so I smartly but casually dressed I'd never see her all dolled up looking like a model or beauty queen, six months Wed. We both made a pledge to love each other till we were dead. If we hadn't sat next to each other We wouldn't have met She was the other half of me that fitted perfectly I'd never forget that wonderful day we met.
