Dark Journeys
I dress my sanity with stains I witness this painting once again To see the burning ones still dance This world ever laughing throughout its trance And beasts will sing to me their deeds Of rape and despair, and decaying trees All branching through the skies once more Spreading the seeds for another war And youth will sway to our demise The ego latching to the weakest minds Ignorance climbing through a screen Death is a movie that we’ve all seen And reason is spawned from this disease Hating the things that hatred sees Born unto those that life misplaced Examples rekindle this burning waste A poison through the love I share I’m lacking in strength even though I care Examples speak to me of wrongs For seeking the light within life’s song And I am one with all these things Reflections of horror that help me sing I cleanse the hurt that scars my heart Release soul from silence; from fear depart
