Old Rooster
I got choked at a meal, the old rooster Finally stood up when I had reached the stage Where I thought my life would turn a page He kept on eating his meal, definitely not my ego booster My meal was not much enjoyed, and I felt bad Others meal I had I interrupted Even though my thoughts were corrupted Because I felt he was a cad, to be alive I was glad The old rooster used to strut around and is such a jerk Problem is he thinks he's perfect In every way of life's living and aspect Good most days he's gone and loves to work I guess all old roosters have their faults Some gamble, some drink too much Some with reality out of touch There are some who away waltz All in all, the old rooster has good traits Some bad things I can overlook I just go read a poetry book At least he's not Patrick Bateman at the hotel Bates'
