The Seaweed (2)
… A strong blast of wind blew near… The tree, no longer capable to hold on, flew with a tear I tumbled onto the ground Holding the seaweed close to my heartbeat’s bounds I tried to open my eyes to see what has approached But the severe flow of dust had my eyelids blocked I stood still beside the humble earth Where, in fact, I had it in my arm’s warmth Suddenly, footsteps were heard But, those weren’t of the normal and common herd ~ Four steps at the same time A slithering sound was added to the rhyme Roars exploded with every clock’s chime A monstrous figure advanced the sublime ~ A legendary soldier of darkness’ end A legendary monster of Greek mythology’s trend A chimera stood; a fiend having a lion’s head, a goat’s body, and serpent’s tail The seaweed’s “BEWARE” echoed For what it had was to be displayed Just behind the unpleasant creature Rolled the “disastrous coach” of the featured Yes, darkness lured into nature’s soul As fear’s shadow began to call An attack towards “those who dare to approach” And so, with all the courage I had I stood against the bad Suddenly rays of light and darkness enlightened the sky Fighting to reach an end; even if it meant to die!
