Unrequited Love
"Hello" was the first word you utter, 'Twas the day when we started getting to know each other. But one day I heard you saying "I really like her," And I was secretly wishing that I was the girl. You were very kind and so trustworthy, You made a lot of effort to make me happy. You were like a hero in a story, You made my heart flutter every time you were with me. And then one time you told me you had a surprise, I was so excited but I was in disguise. You even told me to close my eyes, You were with someone and it was too late for me to realize. I smiled and acted like nothing was wrong, 'Twas called putting my pain aside and being strong. I was loving you so much for so long, And I thought you loved me too like your favorite song. Maybe it was right to put the blame on me, I fell in love with you and I assumed totally. I wanted to cry and to run so far away, When the truth hit me that there was never you and me.
