Yucca
As a Medieval armored knight, whose sword is held high in sharpened point, Or as an agile fencing master whose quick to paree after feint, And so the yucaa held high its spiny leaves skyward to deter touch, But he who does, thence will circle wide to keep his path away from such. Give the yucca the space it needs. Reach not fair skin to its bloody maim, But speak not of the yucca's vile demeanor since a moth's love doth it claim. Perfumes from its flowers, like a mesmerizing love song in the night Ensures that the fragile white wings of the moth will buoy her in her flight. The beckoning yucca draws the moth to fertilization of seeds. Moth glides past his swords, she enters the bloom, and laying her eggs, succeeds Caterpillars emerge to feed, while protected by the armored knight. In a year they change to white-winged moths that by a moon'lit sky take flight.
