Shadows
No! They do not know me at all, all of those shadows on the wall, they gather and walk around me, wonder who or what I could be. speak in a language of their own, a dialect to us unknown, hand gestures and whispers abound, much said, heard, yet without a sound. a senior shadow with a stoop, appears to attract bigger group, perhaps the wisest of the lot, this old peers thoughts, advice, much sought! in that old dark archaic room, there is a low light but less gloom, me the centre, object of query, their debate long without hurry. night on night, debate continued, several angles I was viewed, their conclusions shall never know, they walked away at morning glow. mystery still I shall remain, back though now in human domain, no interest shown as shadows did, truth about me still under a lid! life a journey in quest of self, the least understood was myself, time will come for a truth window, when I shall pass and be a shadow.
