Fading
"When it's impossible to know who to trust it can be better to withdraw and fade. Popularity is over-rated as is winning... the list of things that are over-rated is currently pretty long. Not a lot is worth causing distress to others - in my book anyway" By poet I fade from view at the mildest slight When faults dragged out into the light Dogged by doubts, of which I have a few At the mildest slight, I fade from view Fading is viewed in different ways Disappearing colour, permanent haze But fading can create a beautiful scene Eyes adjust to see beneath the sheen Choose to be alone, where critics rife I don't need more worry in my life Hide away as the stones are thrown Where critics are rife, choose to be alone From faded grandeur to faded glory All provides an interesting story Let lies and chaos fade away Not a natural loner but I am today
