Unbroken Souls
Written: September 3rd, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ In this realm where gloom weaves its snare, Where sorrow can seem too much to bear, I understand and share in your vehement pain. When burdens weigh—hope begins to wane. As tears won't come and the heart is numb. I shed blood, not tears, and my soul succumbs. But hump, my friend, we are not alone. Who else is God, and where is his throne? Under His care, we seek refuge. In times of despair, his guidance is huge. We ask for his assistance—to be strong. In his presence—we cognize we belong. If you become a philosopher, as you wish, You'll witness the truth and a maple dish. Engaging in pointless feuds, so it appears, But in the vast venture, they're a trifling clear. Insignificant souls, lost in their own strife, Fighting battles that hold no meaning, no life, But we, with unyielding hearts, rise above. Knowing our worth and embracing love In the depths of pain and despair, We find strength, resilience, and repair. We stand tall, united, hand in hand, Defying the gloom that tries to expand Measly souls may strain to draw us down. But our unyielding hearts refuse to frown. We hold on to hope; we cling to belief. In this chaotic world, love is the only relief.
