Prancing and jumping, in playful delight. As shadows of butterflies fluttered and glided across our yard. Hither and there she would, run back and forth, never breaking a stride, very focus on each one. As they took to the air, in flight soaring away, she was left quite bewildered, but eagerly awaiting the next time, they would come to play. After many dog years we have seen passed along, she still waits each spring, for the butterfly shadows to appear. But today, I now see she's "dancing with the butterflies", and wonder what has changed. Either way, the fun has always been, in the courting, never the catch.
