Pregnancy Bliss?
Who said being pregnant was easy? Who said being pregnant was bliss? I’ll wager my life that it was a man Because they’ve never gone through this! They’d never put up with the nausea Or waking each morning to see If they can stop being sick long enough To face some dry toast, and tea As for them coping with heartburn, Wouldn’t they find that a thrill They’d abhor the chalky white liquid That cures it but makes you feel ill And what about not being able To fit into old comfy jeans I’m telling you now, this pregnancy lark Is definitely not all it seems My ankles are thick My rings are all tight I’m lacking in sleep From the kicking at night! So, whoever said ‘pregnancy’s easy’ I’d like to have certified And I wish that I could just meet them To say to their face ‘YOU LIED!’
