Finding each others faults as they fuel this awful flame, Both claiming victory when neither will accept the blame. With clinched jaws and fingers pointing, Their words so damning, so hurtful, and so taunting. Then it reaches its fiery crescendo, Then neither one knows what to do or how to let go. What had happened, it wasn’t always like this, They used to hold hands and share a frequent kiss. Then something bad happened, almost overnight, Seems now they cannot speak to each other without it turning into a fight.
