Love Makes a Man Do Crazy Things
An angel falls in rain, on slippery rock Wings matted down by the on pour A battle to the highest peak, nature the only competitor A gray gown, clinging to pale skin Edged ruthlessly by dirt, muddy stains on white Unforgiving thunder rolls off the mountain "I'm sorry lord" Whispers on the wind call quietly Through the dark, brooding clouds, white light drifts Sliding silently in and out of vision, like a sacred dance She almost looses her footing as thunder shakes the rock Rubble starts to fall and she covers her head Giant wings come down, and cover the angel White light surrounding her in an orb "It's all right" The angel whispers in her ear "I'm here" His arms wrap around her, shielding her from the rain The sky doesn't clear, but he'll play the game Darting past the lighting he carries her in his arms through the gates of heaven, past all its guards he knelt before his father, and begged and prayed "Dear Heavenly Father, please let her stay..." With tears in both their eyes, he cradled her in his arms she clung to him, her head on his shoulder the lord looked at them compassion in his eyes "Go my son, take her and fly" He looked up at God, love in his eyes Gathered her in his arms, and away they did fly
