Is Time An Illusion
Is time an illusion we've unnecessarily set? Some scientists now say that it is. When deja-vu happens, does it represent an earlier life--a second shift? Or, is it a moment that was lost in time and then returned as a gift? How odd it is that we must clock time's passing hours that spill through our grasp Years that seemed only moments in time-- children's giggles that couldn't last. That moment of recognition, deja-vu, we've been here before, unsettling feelings that disappeared, never to be traced Lovers we've kept in secret thoughts seem but long-ago dreams that time has misplaced I imagine deja-vu has been studied I doubt they've reached a conclusion Something unknown, we're suddenly sure we know this scene, mingled with confusion As years transform our bodies into someone we never knew Time will mark our passing to a timeless place where moments we lost may be found in deja-vu.
