Voices Are Swords
She was up all night, hearing his voice Echo—choice Which prevents her from falling asleep Echo—weep I lack to portray the agony of the globe Echo—strobe With lines that will echo through the ages Echo—sages Listen to my cries and catch the sonic boom Echo—gloom. How would their voices echo off the walls? Echo—calls When I cut myself, I don't lack a bandage Echo—language I need someone to tell me it will all be fine Echo—shine Footprints disappear with lunar winds Echo—minds Still, there will always be a footstep echo Echo—sorrow Hiding in the host's accumulated dirt Echo—hurt. Man's restless soul is utterly a shadow Echo—meadow Don't just repeat what other birds sing Echo—bring Don't just echo what other people say Echo—today You're special, say and do what you want Echo—haunt If you're convincing, your words will matter Echo—better Written: February 11, 2023 ECHO VERSE: Echo verse has a pretty simple rule: Repeat the end syllable(s) of each line. No other rules.
