A Cheese Danish and French Vanilla Latte Christmas Memory-Part 2
though i have not seen her since, i hope that she only flourishes in adulthood for she would be 26 now it was immediately as i was thinking of her that a younger coworker put a card in my hand as i was taking my first break it was from (not so little) julie steinbach for she grew to be 6'2 she is now a successful professional basketball player in some league in france she is hoping to make it to the wnba someday it is then that i pray that dream and goal of her into existence she also included that she has been cancer free since she left all those may Christmases ago the tears immediately started to fall from the oh so wonderful feeling of being remembered God taught me a valuable lesson that particular day i will now pay that lesson forward to others oh, by the way, included in the card from (now too tall) julie stainbach was a gift card the message in the little box that the gift card was in read simply, 'they make the best cheese danishes' i laughed heartily, finished my cheese danish and french vanillia latte, and got back to it
