I Left, Because
Chosen but easily forgotten. Uncertainties played a good trick on me. I took too long to follow intuition but I walked out based on suspicion. I could have stayed, watched him tear my numbness away. I could have witnessed the self deteriorate as if poisoned by truths I planned to forget. I drowned before I could open my eyes to the sea-salt filled ocean, waiting to be saved, yet left to fend for my own for I created this mess. No one seemed to be at home, all those once there could barely keep to their own. I looked closely at my dug up grave and there my soul was, far from exhale. Somehow I still walked out with broken pieces that took some life to heal. If I stayed, I would've not been able to find myself back home, so leaving was my best choice. 17 November 2022 Sponsored by Anoucheka Gangabissoon
