I enjoyed talking with you last night so very much. It’s hard to believe that it’s been so many years. We missed out on the good and the bad when we lost touch. There were many laughs we could have shared – even some tears. I had fun listening to you tell your stories. It reminded me of when we were friends long ago. It felt good to talk about our old shared memories And about all the people that we used to both know. I was sorry to hear about your mother. I know she meant a great deal to you and more. I should have been there as one friend comforting another, But I promise to keep in touch more often than before. I know that coming from a friend, this may sound strange, But, for lack of a better phrase, I’m proud of your life. You’re just like I remember, not afraid of change And I can tell you love being a mother and a wife. Over the years, I’ve often wondered where you were And, since high school, what your family has been up to. I’m glad you caught me up on you and your sister. I won’t wait as long before the next time I call you.
